Climate
The climate in the Taiga is dominated by cold Arctic air. The main seasons are Winter and Summer, as Spring and Autumn go by very quickly. During the winter, which lasts for 6 to 7 months, temperatures average below freezing. Because of its high latitudes, the Taiga does not get direct sunlight in the Winter. Temperatures in the Winter range from -65°F to 30°F. In the Summer, it is rainy and humid. The ice begins to thaw and the animals come out of hibernation. Also, flowers begin to blossom. Temperatures in the Summer vary from 20°F to 70°F.
Precipitation
Each year, there is about 20 to 50 inches of precipitation. It is either in the form of snow or rain. The rain usually falls in the summer.
